At Ziggy’s Caribbean Cuisine, we’re passionate about sharing the vibrant flavors of the Caribbean with the Minot community. Founded by Jamaican natives Rashied Powell, our journey began with a dream to bring the taste of home to North Dakota. After arriving in the U.S. as exchange students in 2012, we missed the authentic Caribbean dishes we grew up with. Cooking for friends who raved about our meals, we realized there was a demand for genuine island cuisine.

In January 2021, amidst one of the coldest months, we launched Ziggy’s as a food truck, introducing Minot to dishes like jerk chicken, curry shrimp, and our special Rasta Pasta. The community’s warm reception encouraged us to establish a permanent location at 201 University Ave W. Here, we continue to serve hearty portions of flavorful, home-cooked meals that transport our patrons straight to the islands.
